Super Eagles Dates For 2026 World Blockbuster Qualifiers


The Super Eagles of Nigeria have known the various dates for its 2026 FIFA world cup qualifier fixtures.


The Super Eagles will begin its journey for the 2026 FIFA world cup tournament next month in qualifier fixtures against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.


Remember the three- time African champions was not in the last edition of the World Cup in 2022 held in Qatar after they were eliminated by the Black Stars of Ghana in the qualifying round.


They will be looking to Change the narrative by qualifying for the next world Cup in 2026.


The Super Eagles of Nigeria, will on Matchday one exchange tackles with the Crocodiles of Lesotho on 17 November, 2023 in Uyo, AkwaIbom State.


Super Eagles to engage Lesotho and Zimbabwe in November.

The West Africans will go face-to-face with the Warriors of Zimbabwe three days later at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali, Rwanda. And that’s because there’s no CAF accredited stadium in the Southern Africa country.


Also in the same group as Nigeria, Lesotho and Zimbabwe are Benin Republic, South Africa and Rwanda.


The top team in the group will automatically qualify for the 2026 World Cup to be hosted by USA, Mexico and Canada.


In a related development, the fixture schedules for the 2023 African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) that will hold in Ivory Coast has been released by CAF.


CAF announced through its official Website that host nation Ivory Coast, will kick-off the tournament, in Abidjan on 13 January.


The 34th edition of the biggest sports event on African soil will take place from 13 January to 24 February 2024 in Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Bouake, San Pedro, and Korhogo.


According to the fixture schedule opening game will feature hosts Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau on Saturday 13 January 2024 at Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium of Ebimpe, in Abidjan.


The match will kick off at 20h00 local time. And the Super Eagles still in the same group as Ivory Coast and Equatorial Guinea, will come up against Guinea-Bissau on 14 January 2024. Kick-off is by 2pm local time.


Nigeria will hope to win its fourth title since after winning it’s third a decade ago.
